Whether you’re a super clean eater or just wish you were (me), you’ll love this healthy green smoothie recipe. Some smoothies include sorbet or sweeteners. This recipe gets its flavor and sweetness from the pineapple, pineapple juice, and mango. Make life simpler by getting most of your fruit and veggies in in the morning without having to think too hard about it! I’m no food blogger, but this recipe is too good not to share.
As much as I’d love to have myself and my family eating healthy 24/7, we love burgers and fries waaaaaaaay too much. We shoot for an 80/20 lifestyle. When we’re home, we’re trying to eat healthy. When we’re out or traveling we indulge.
I tried doing a Whole30 earlier this year (2017) and did a full 28 day cleanse in 2015. I know I feel so much better when I’m eating clean and my body always thanks me.
Green Smoothie Recipe
Time: 5 minutes ~ Serves 2
2 kale leaves (stems removed)
handful of spinach (washed)
4 large cucumber slices
squeeze of lime
1 banana (peeled)
1/2 cup pineapple (diced or crushed)
1/2 cup mango
1 cup ice
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup pineapple juice
1 packet Premama Prenatal Vitamin Mix
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. If you’d like a sweeter smoothie, add more fruit or consider honey, or stevia. If you have a quality blender use ice and frozen fruit! Otherwise, if your blender is not so hot, try freezing all of your fruit and skipping the ice.
